Rockets Slip By Winfield
by Braden Geer
The Rose Hill Rockets hosted the Winfield Vikings on Tuesday and escaped with a 2-1 victory. The Rockets scored first on a free kick from Lathe Cobb. However, the Vikings quickly responded and tied the game 1-1 just a few minutes later. The game stayed close until the Rockets once again found the back of the net late in the half when Tanner Williams scored the winning goal on an assist from Dinkel in the 78th minute of the game. Both teams played tough defense with the Rockets defense allowing only 7 shots on goal throughout the game. The Rocket goalkeeper, Trystan Speiss, had a total of 6 saves, defending the Rockets goal with pride. The team’s record has climbed to 6-5-1 and they hope to continue playing well and winning. The Rockets will host Independence on Thursday.
