Girls Enter Break On High Note
by Braden Geer
Last night the Rocket basketball programs hosted the El Dorado Wildcats for the last game before the break. The Lady Rockets started the game out slow; the girls clung on to only a 3-point lead going into the second quarter. However, they quickly put the hurt on the Lady Wildcats. By the end of the first half the Lady Rockets found themselves up 31 to the Wildcats 16. After halftime, the Rockets held the Wildcats to a mere 9 points before the game ended. Meanwhile, the Lady Rockets dominated offensively as they put up a total of 29 points in the second half of the game. Seniors Emily Adler and Drew Glennemeier combined for 41 points; the other Rockets contributed tremendously both defensively and offensively. The Lady Rockets are 6-1 going into the break. The next outing for the Lady Rockets will be January 4th when they host Collegiate.
Rocket Boys SUffer First Loss
by Grant Scheer
The Rose Hill boy’s basketball has been on quite a hot streak lately. They were undefeated with a record of 6-0. Last night, however, they unfortunately stumbled causing the record to fall to 6-1.  The team that gave them a loss was El Dorado, who is currently 2-4. The Rockets couldn’t get things clicking as a team, while the Wildcats were on fire. The team gave up 21 points in the second quarter giving El Dorado an upper hand. Going into halftime, the score was 29-21 with the Rockets trailing. Both teams split even in the third quarter scoring 8 points each. Koby Cambell gave it everything he had scoring 14 points along with Konner Barron scoring 9. The game was out of reach as the fourth quarter drew to an end. The final score was 51-40. The team has a long break until their matchup with Collegiate on January 4th at home. They will work on the mistakes that were made against the Wildcats and capitalize on them to become better as a whole. Their weaknesses will improve going into the second part of the season.
