On Friday the Rockets got ready to play their second game of the Wildcat Classic Tournament at Haven. It would be an in-league matchup as they played Andale, who they had already played just a couple of weeks earlier. The Indians jumped ahead early and would carry that throughout the game and defeated the Rockets 38-28. However, the Rockets had one more chance to get it back Saturday as they faced Moundridge in their last game of the mid-season tournament. The Rockets fell behind by two points after the first quarter. They dominated the second quarter 16-5, however, and pulled ahead comfortably. In the second half Moundridge crawled back into the game but the Rockets were able to hold on and come out with a 48-45 game to finish in 7th place in the tournament. They are now 6-8 on the year as they get ready to face Augusta at home on Tuesday.

On Saturday the Rocket wrestling team traveled to Andover for their next tournament. The Tournament came a couple days after the Rockets won their dual against Wellington. For the tournament, the Rockets had three wrestlers with winning records. Braden Tatum went 4-1 with two wins by fall. Landon Bowman went 3-2 with all of his wins by fall. Charlie Black also went 3-2 and one of his wins was by fall. The Rockets are banged up right now with multiple people out with injuries. With that being a factor, the Rockets would finish ninth on the day. They will be in action again on Friday and Saturday in their home Rose Hill Invitational.
On Saturday the Rocket swim team traveled to Wichita Northwest to compete along with 16 other schools in their invitational tournament. The Rockets would also have a tenth place finish in the boys’ 200-yard freestyle relay. The team included, Hoang, Leck, Woodrome, and Bischler. The Rockets would finish 15th overall. They’re in action again on February 5th at the Salina South Invitational
