Rockets Blowout Vikings

The Rockets went on the road to Winfield Tuesday night. The Rockets first game back after the new year was a big one for them. They took the chance to show why they are one of the best teams in class 4A. The Rockets started out strong with a 24-5 lead in the first quarter. That did not stop them from easing up though as they kept pushing and the score was 48-13 at the end of the first half. There were a lot of players putting up crazy points but Adriel Smith had an amazing night with 21 points in the first half and ended the night with 30 points. The Rockets came out of the halftime blazing putting up 32 points in the third quarter led by Kellan Simoneau with 10 points and Adriel Smith with 9 points in the third quarter alone. The Rockets had a big enough lead that in the fourth quarter they put some of the guys off the bench in to get those guys some playing time. In the end the final score was 86-45 for a big win by the Rockets. The Rockets will be hosting the Clearwater Indians this Friday for the Homecoming game and the Rockets would appreciate if the stands were packed.

Lady Rockets Fall To 1-5

The Rockets were on the road Tuesday night to face off against the Winfield Vikings. The Rockets were heading into the game with a 1-4 record hoping to get a win. In the first quarter of the game the Rockets scored 7 points with Jessa Lee scoring 4 of the 7; however, the Vikings outscored the Rockets 11-7 in the quarter. In the second quarter of the game the Rockets put up 9 points with Jessa Lee and Makayla Kiser having 3 points apiece; the Vikings scored only 3 points leaving the halftime score 16-14 with the Rockets leading. Coming back in the 3rd quarter the Rockets were only able to put up 3 points while the Vikings scored 13 points on the Lady Rockets making the score 19-27. In the 4th quarter of the game the Vikings scored only 6 points but the Rockets managed to only put 4 points on the board making the final score of the game 23-33 in favor of the Lady Vikings. The Lady Rockets next game will be Friday, January 7th against Clearwater at home for their homecoming game.
