Rockets Overpower In Circle
On Thursday the Rockets wrestling team was on the road to Circle for a double dual with the Circle Thunderbirds and the Winfield Vikings. They went against the Vikings to start it off; the first match of the dual was Johnny Leck who won by a 7-2 decision, Boeden Whitted won by a fall in 46 seconds, Tyren Emberson won by an 8-6 OT decision, Isaiah O’shea won by a 9-4 decision, Patrick O’Shea won by a 10-4 decision, Keegan Beavers won his match by a fall in 1:19, Cade Evans won his match by a fall in 3:19, Jordan Montemayor won by a fall in 3:56, and Milan Colvin won his match by a fall in 2:50. The Rockets finished up with the Vikings with a team score of 48-21. Next for the Rockets was the Thunderbirds. To start off the second half of the Double Dual, Leck, Bilby, Prather, and Whitted all received forfeits to give the Rockets quick 24-0 lead. Newcomers Isaiah O’Shea and Patrick O’Shea both received forfeits to increase the Rocket’s lead to 36-6. Keegan Beavers won his match by a fall in 1:20, Aden Lemasters won his first match of the night by a fall in 45 seconds, Cade Evans won his match by a fall in 3:41, and to finish off the night for the boys Varsity team Milan Colvin won by a fall in 5 minutes. The Rockets finished up the Thunderbirds with a team score of 60-24. The Girls team only had two wrestlers last night against Circle with Carrigan Dellinger winning her match by a fall in 1:43. Against Winfield the Rocket Girls recorded three victories as Dellinger won by an 11-7 decision, Olivia Nelson won by a fall in 1:52, and Payton Sholander won by a fall in 0:46. The Rockets are on a hot streak with their wrestling team right now as they have two Wrestlers who are undefeated: Keegan Beavers and Cade Evans. The team will be off to the Augusta Invitational on Saturday, January 8th with a scheduled start time of 9 am.
