Girls Track Places 2nd

The Rose Hill track team was at the AVCTL Division IV Meet in Andale on Friday. The Girls track team placed second overall with a score of 104. In the 100-Meter, Kate Dare placed first with a time of 12.48. In the 1600-Meter Dash, Kimber Lovell placed first with a time of 5:49.51. In the 3200-Meter Dash, all of the Rose Hill runners in that race placed top three with Alexa Marshall placing first with a time of 12:49.51, then Kimber Lovell in second right behind her, and Emersyn Herod coming in third. The 4x100-Meter Relay Team, consisting of Lexi Wooten, Dare, Keia Palmer, and Rylee Wooten, placed third with a time of 51.23. The 4x400-Meter Relay Team consisting of Mahalee Bilhimer, Jessa Lee, Ryelle Woods, and Rylee Wooten, placed 3rd with a time of 4:23.30. The 4x800-Meter Relay Team, consisting of Kimber Lovell, Lee, Lila Wheeler, and Marshall, placed 2nd with a time of 10:33.45. The Boys track team placed 3rd overall with a score of 102. Teagan Cobb placed 1st in the Long Jump with a distance of 22’09.25”. The 4X100 Meter Relay Team, consisting of Connor Wallis, Nicolas Bentley, Ben Peck, and Luke McLaughlin, placed 2nd with a time of 44.31. The 4x400 Meter Relay Team, consisting of Korbin Woods, Peck, Patrick O’Shea, and Bentley, placed 1st with a time of 3:32.51. The 4X800-Meter Relay team, consisting of Luke Anderson, Gage Burnison, Woods, and Anthen Arheart, placed 4th with a time of 8:56.75. Rose Hill Track will be at Circle for the 4A Regional Meet on Friday, May 19th; the first event starts at 3:00 pm.

Lady Rockets Last Meet

The Lady Rockets Swim team was at Buhler on Friday for the AVCTL Division III and IV Meet. For the first time this season, Rose Hill and Circle weren’t swimming together as a team per league rules not allowing co-ops for a league meet. The Rocket Ladies placed 8th overall with 72 points scored. The 200-Yard Medley Relay, consisting of Rita Hoopes, Josie Belden, Whitney Roach, and Katelyn Vanmeerbeck, placed 7th with a time of 2:37.60. In the 50-Yard Freestyle, Belden placed 19th with a time of 32.76; she also placed 12th in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:32.67. In the 100-Yard Butterfly, Roach placed 11th with a time of 1:34.17. In the 100-Yard Freestyle, Vanmeerbeck placed 15th with a time of 1:14.92. In the 100-Yard Backstroke, Hoopes placed 13th with a time of 1:35.78. The 400-Yard Freestyle Relay, consisting of Belden, Roach, Hoopes, and Vanmeerbeck, placed 6th with a time of 5:24.19. The Lady Rockets did not qualify any swimmers for the State meet so their season has now concluded.
