Golf Season Ends

Coach Browning and three varsity golfers made the extremely long trip to Ulysses on Sunday, missing Mother’s Day, so that they could get in a practice round before the Regional Tournament on Monday. The Regional Tournament was held at the Bentwood Golf Course, a 6,135-yard par 72 course. With only three golfers, the Rockets did not qualify for the team scores. In windy but dry conditions, Avery Tagtow would be the highest finishers for the Rockets placing 20th and shooting a score of 102. Hunter Roy would be the next highest finishing in 23rd by shooting a 104. The third Rocket golfer, Anthony Mitchell, placed 37th shooting a 130 over the 18-hole course. The Rockets did not qualify any golfers for the State Tournament bringing the 2023 season to an end.
