Rockets Sweep Victory

On Tuesday the boys’ soccer team traveled to Mulvane for a matchup against the Wildcats on their own turf. In the first 20 minutes the score had stayed stagnant at 0-0 when Daylin Jantzen scored the first goal of the game in the 20th minute to put the Rockets ahead 1-0. In the 21st minute, Andruw Weeks slammed another goal as the Rockets quickly built their lead to 2-0. Trey Bias then joined in on the scoring and found the back of the net twice in the 22nd and 23rd minutes, respectively. The Rockets had a staggering total of 15 shots to the Mulvane net during the game with Mulvane taking 8 shots. The Rockets improve their record on the season to 5-1. The Rockets will prepare to host Berean on Thursday as they look for their sixth win of the season.

Lady Rockets Split At Home

Your Lady Rockets played at home on Tuesday ending the night in a split; The ladies took a win against McPherson in game one 25-22, 25-11, but then fell short against Augusta in game two 27-29, 22-25. The Rockets are now 3-7 on the season. Payton Jackson and Dayleigh Barger both had 10 kills on the night. Reece Goetz led the team in digs on the night with 13; Mandi Heinz wasn’t far behind her though, with 10 on the night. With those 10 digs, Heinz officially moves up on the all-time list passing Emily Witt at #3. Heinz now has 1,016 digs in her high school career. Kadance Heumann led the night with 32 assists, as well as three serve aces. The Rockets are set to return to play at home on Thursday against Cheney and Garden plain.
