The RHMS football team concluded their season tonight with a game against Mulvane. The 7th grade team demonstrated exceptional defensive skills, preventing Mulvane from scoring until well into the second half, but ultimately lost 8-0. The 8th grade team dominated Mulvane with a score of 44-0. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams ended the season with a 5-2 record. Congratulations to the Rockets on a successful season, showcasing unwavering dedication and teamwork. Rocket Proud!🚀

Both 7th and 8th grade volleyball will take on Wellington at 9 am on Saturday for the Patriot South League tournament. 8th grade will be Clearwater and 7th grade will be in Ark City. Good Luck Rockets!!!

RHMS cross country finished their season at the league meet today. This team has dominated all season! They have set more PR’s than any prior season. The 8th grade girls took 1st in league and the 7th grade boys took 2nd!!

RHMS reminders:
**Fall conferences begin tonight (3:30-7:30). They will continue Thursday, Oct. 16 (8:00-4:00). Please also stop by the lost and found tables outside the office. We have a lot of unclaimed items.
**On Wed., Oct. 15, we are having picture re-take day. If your student missed picture day or would like re-takes, please make sure they are at school on the 15th (these photos will go in the yearbook).
**7/8 grade girls basketball and boys wrestling will start practices on Monday, Oct. 20, after school. Students should have brought home information from the coaches. Please make sure ALL physical paperwork is turned in to the office before the 20th. Students who do not have all forms turned in will not be able to practice.
**There will be a winter sports parent meeting for girls' basketball and boys' wrestling on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 5:30pm. If your 7th or 8th grader is going out for these sports, please plan on attending this meeting. It will last 30-45 min.
**There will be a fall choir concert on Oct. 23 at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium. Choir students should have brought home concert information from Ms. King.

RHMS volleyball concluded their regular season tonight, taking on Mulvane and El Dorado. The 7A and 8A girls were undefeated in division play this season both 6-0!! They will head to the Patriot South League Tournament this Saturday! 7th grade will head to Ark City and 8th grade will head to Clearwater.
7B ended their season 2-4 while 8B went undefeated in division play, 6-0!
These young ladies have had a remarkable season! We are proud of their hard work they demonstrated throughout the season! Rocket Proud!!

The RHMS football team took to the field tonight to face off against the Circle Thunderbirds. The 7th grade team's defensive line held firm, preventing the Thunderbirds from scoring and securing a 6-0 win. The 8th grade team, seeking another win after last year's overtime game, put up a fierce fight but ultimately lost 6-22 to Circle. The team's hard work and dedication are evident in their weekly performances. Next week, the Rockets will wrap up their season with a game against Mulvane. Rocket Proud! 🚀

Today's middle school cross country meet in El Dorado has been cancelled. Runners will have regular practice tonight.

RHMS volleyball faced off against Circle and Prairie Hills tonight. The 8th grade team traveled to Prairie Hills, while the 7th grade team hosted for the first time this season.
The 8A team emerged victorious against both PHMS and Circle.
RH vs PHMS: 25-18, 25-18
RH vs Circle: 25-20, 26-24
The 8B team also secured wins over PHMS and Circle.
RH vs PHMS: 14-25, 25-13, 15-11
RH vs Circle: 26-24, 25-4
The 7A team successfully defeated PHMS and Circle.
RH vs PHMS: 25-20, 25-11
RH vs Circle: 25-11, 25-22
Unfortunately, the 7B team's efforts fell short.

RHMS Rockets were active on multiple fronts, with cross country competing in Winfield and football facing Wellington.
Cross country athletes earned four medals and achieved seven new personal records. The eighth-grade girls' team tied for first place! They will compete next in El Dorado on Tuesday.
Football rolled over the Knights with wins for both the seventh and eighth-grade teams. Neither team allowed Wellington to score. The seventh-grade team secured a 36-0 win, as did the eighth-grade team, also winning 36-0. The Rockets take on Circle next Thursday!
Let's not forget the RHMS cheerleaders!! They kept the spirit alive as they cheered their teams to victory!!

RHMS Stuco is planning its annual Veteran's Day assembly for Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025. We would like to honor all active duty and veteran military members related to our middle school students.
