What a cool experience for four of our 8th-grade students who recently served as pages at the Kansas Legislature. Big applause to Marissa Jensen, Elijah & Lucas Goodrich, and Meredith Beaver for representing our school with enthusiasm and curiosity!
Under the guidance of RHMS teacher, Ms. Sally Smith, our students had the chance to meet Governor Kelly and witness democracy in action!
The students sat in on crucial House and Senate meetings where important bills were voted on. What an incredible opportunity to witness the legislative process in action! 🗳️🏛️
After lunch, our pages explored the Capitol, including a super cool trip to the Dome at the very top of the building. What a view!
𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮:
Designed for middle school and early high school students, the Page program is a fantastic way to delve into the legislative process and gain hands-on experience.

Must Dress and act appropriately throughout the experience.
Will Receive a $5.00 pay voucher for the Statehouse snack bar.
