Rutledge and Mock each added seven serve aces. Emme McNaul led with 39 digs, followed by Mock and Marissa Jensen, each adding 28 digs.
“What an incredible start to our season,” said head coach Cherith Mock. “Going 3-1 in our first tournament—and only missing a championship final by a tiny two-point margin—shows exactly what we are capable of. We didn't play as a group of individuals; we played as a connected, cohesive team. We trusted each other, covered for each other, and celebrated every single point together. This is such a fun group of girls. I am looking forward to what this season holds.” The Lady Rockets play again tomorrow September 1st at 4:30pm. We are hosting Collegiate and Winfield at home.
