The Lady Rocket Volleyball team split their games between Wellington and Collegiate. The Rockets beat Collegiate 2-0 (25-16, 25-18) and lost to Wellington 2-1 (25-22, 19-25, 8-25) Junior Choe Mock led the team with 20 kills and 20 assists. She also had a .350 hitting percentage against Collegiate. Meredith Beavers had a 1.000 hitting percentage against Wellington.
“We really struggled to find our rhythm and play the consistent volleyball we are capable of throughout the match. It was not our best night, we did not play with the consistency, energy, or execution that we expect from ourselves.” said head coach Cherith Mock.
It will be a very busy weekend for the volleyball team! The Varsity Lady Rockets will play again on Saturday, September 12th at the Eureka Tournament. The junior varsity Lady rockets will also be playing this Saturday in the Winfield Tournament. The freshman/sophomore team will also being participating in a tournament this Saturday at Sedgwick.
