The Rocket Football team annihilated the Winfield Vikings in a 48-0 Homecoming night blowout, improving their record to 4-2. The Rockets set the tone on the first play of the game, with a defensive scoop-and-score to put the Rockets up 7-0, following an extra point from Tristan Benedict. The Rockets would continue to dominate from then on, Nick Jones had two rushing touchdowns and one interception. Levi McLaughlin also had a scoop-and-score, and quarterback Isaac Hill had a rushing touchdown. Isaac Hill also had an impressive touchdown pass to wide receiver Remington Merlau.
But the Rockets continue to focus on the next game, especially linebacker Nick Jones, who said, “We have to go into this next game prepared and ready to win. I think we played to the standard last Friday and could always do better.” The Rockets will play the 1-5 El Dorado Wildcats at Rose Hill District Stadium this Friday October 16th.
