Tomorrow night the Rocket Soccer Team is playing in the 4A-1A State Championship game at Stryker Sports Complex. We are going up against Baldwin for the state title. This is our second year in a row playing for the state title. If you see any of the players today or tomorrow morning please wish them luck!
The game begins at 7:00pm. Admission to the game is $10 per person. Stryker is ONLY accepting cards or GoFan for paying admission tomorrow night. NO athletic passes will be accepted.
Please remember that parking at Stryker is limited since they are hosting ALL state championship and consolation games tomorrow for 6A, 5A and 4A-1A divisions. If you park illegally in the parking lots or you choose to park on medians and grassy areas in the complex, Stryker management will be having your vehicle towed away at your expense. Make sure you show up early and park safely in a legal parking spot.

The Rockets are playing in the next round of state playoffs tonight in Wellington against the Wellington Crusaders. The game tonight begins at 7:00pm. Wellington only accepts CASH or GoFan tickets tonight. Tickets for tonight's game are $8 and NO passes will be accepted since it is a post-season KSHSAA sponsored game.

The Ladies Cross Country team ran at the State Meet over the weekend. Overall the team placed 11th. Mya McCrea was the top placer on the team with a time of 22:05.36 that got her a 49th place finish. Emersyn Herod came in 60th, while Rylee Wooten came in 66th and Sian Hoang came in 68th. Evelyn Swearingen came in 77th, Keelie Mellinger came in 94th and Edisyn Herod came in 96th. If you see any of the ladies this week make sure to congratulate them on an awesome season!

The Girls Cross Country Team is heading out this afternoon to go to the State Cross Country Meet! There is a send off happening at the high school for the team right before classes end for the day. If you see any of team today wish them luck! We can't wait to see how they do tomorrow in Wamego!

This powerhouse group of Rocket athletes placed 9th out of 30 teams at the State Track & Field Championship—and they did it with grit, teamwork, and heart. 💪🔥

Kimberlin Lovell – 4x State Qualifier and a model of consistency. She will continue her running career at Hutchinson Community College. She plans to major in Elementary Education and pursue Coaching.
Mady Barger – 3x State competitor and a dominant force in the throws. She plans to major in Health and Human Performance at Emporia State University.
Ava Markley – A dynamic leader and all-around athlete, leaving a legacy in both track and soccer. She will compete in Pentathlon (indoor) and Heptathlon (outdoor) at Emporia State University. She plans to major in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis in Physical Therapy.

🏅 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 (Freshman) – Talented dual-sport athlete & part of the State Runner-Up Soccer Team
🏅 𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 (Senior) – Reliable and composed on the track, heading to WSU Tech to study Aviation Maintenance Technology and become an A&P Mechanic
🏅 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝘽𝙞𝙖𝙨 (Senior) – Soccer star and sprinter, unable to run relay due to slight injury but still earned his place on the podium. Trey will be continuing his running career at Oral Roberts University

Senior Trey Bias blazed through his final State Track Meet with incredible performances and unwavering heart and became a 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁:
🥉 3rd in the 100m
🏅 8th in the 200m
Though a minor injury kept him from running in the 4x400, Trey still showed up for his team, cheered on the alternate, and helped the relay boys cross the finish-line to earn 7th. That’s leadership!
Trey’s a true multi-sport athlete, also starring on the Boys Soccer team that finished as State Runner-Up this year! ⚽️🔥
Next stop: Oral Roberts University, where we know he’ll keep soaring.🦅

Junior standout, Kaityn Barb just wrapped up her third trip to the State Track Meet—and she’s not done yet!
🏅 8th in the 100m Hurdles – bringing home a State medal!
Earlier this May, she set a PR in the 300m hurdles and hit a season PR in triple jump. A true all-around competitor.
Kaityn continues to rise, and with one more season ahead, we know she’s just getting started. Let’s go, Kaityn! 🙌
